Action Sports Films take over Itunes. TGR's Re:Session takes top spot in first week

Action Sports Films Dominate Itunes. Digital Distribution gains ground. TGR's Re:Session and Burton's B Movie juggle top spot. MSP's In Deep follows suit

We live in the digital age. Email, social networks, digital music and streaming video have dominated the space over the last few years. Now downloadable films and TV show are following suit. The Action Sports world has always been an early adopter of new trends and technologies.
The latest craze is downloadable videos. Currently iTunes is the benchmark. The problem is that US based action sports films in  iTunes are only available in the US. The true potential of digital distribution is Canada and the overseas market. Shipping a video to Europe can cost as much as $25 USD, nearly doubling the cost of videos. Rumor has it this will change soon.
Recently, a slew of new action sports titles, including TGR’s Re:Session, The Burton B Movie and MSP’s In Deep, landed in the Itunes store. For some unknown reason these videos live in the TV>Sports section of Itunes. These videos landed in the store and are going against NFL, NBA and Ultimate Fighting. In the first week of release TGR’s film and the Burton B Movie juggled the top spot and beat out the NFL and Ultimate Fighting titles.

TGR's Re:Session Tops the Itunes Charts

MSP’s In Deep released on Monday and has gotten in the mix as well, getting as high as the number two download. It is pretty exciting to see all these films coming in and making an impact against major films.
Digital Video Distribution is officially a reality. Head over to the iTunes store and check it out.
