Stevens Pass Day 5: Sammy Carlson rolls into town
We had a couple of tough days with Wiley Miller and Tanner Hall getting hurt. Both riders hit a test jump on one of the features we built, overshot the landing and hit the flat. The full story is here: Powder Mag Story on the injury. It is always tough to get back on the horse after watching your boys go down. Sammy Carlson showed up though and we have been getting some sick shots. We built a really cool feature that was a 40 ft gap with four welded barrels hanging from a chair lift. Sammy was throwing 360 tap to 360, cab 540 bonk, 180 bonk to 540, straight bonk to 360. It was super cool and we got some amazing footage. Sammy hit another large gap and was throwing 900, 720, 540's and crushing it. Dylan Hood nailed a shifty surprise, which looks like a huge 180 that he brings around at the last minute. We are about to go back up and hit a new feature. Sammy has a never ending supply of energy and ideas. The session continues at Stevens Pass. The park crew and staff have been crushing it here with some amazing features.

**This was a sick feature that Sammy and the Stevens park crew dreamed up. Sammy went crazy on this throwing down every combination you could imagine. In his own words, "It was crazy."**
**Josh Nielsen and Todd Jones survey the creation and discuss camera angles.**
